Elm and Black ‘River’ Ottoman Tray

Scottish Elm has been hand crafted with black resin to create this large square ‘river’ ottoman tray and  a unique piece of functional art which can also be hung as wall decor. The wood, which was sustainably grown, has been sliced to create two ‘book-matched’ halves. This technique gives the tray symmetry and a uniquely individual design. Black resin, which has been poured to create a ‘ripple effect’, encases the wood and river to create a heat resistant  surface. The tray  has a recessed bottom for strength and it sits on rubber feet for further stability. The top surface has been flood coated to produce a high gloss finish. All exposed wood surfaces have been finished with hard wax oil. 100% UK made. Dimensions: 60.2cm x 60.2cm x 5cm (6cm including feet)
